Mud season is here!!!!

Well folks, the ski lifts have stopped running, but the snow continues to fall here in Steamboat. Typical spring weather in these parts!

As we contemplate whether or not we should skin up the mountain one last time, the idea of warm weather and camping begin to creep into our minds!  Most of us locals have started digging through our gear quiver, reminiscing on past mud season desert camping adventures as we shake the pesky micro-dust sand from our Big Agnes tents.

The desert is what most of us locals dream about this time of year as seasonal jobs on the Mountain come to a end.  The annual exodus to Colorado's Western Slope desert lands, promise a good dose of vitamin D, mountain biking until your legs off, and ample camping time.  

So here's to spring, sleeping in the dirt, new adventures, friendships, sunshine, and getting the H out of Dodge!
