Big Agnes
Wonder why we called our company Big Agnes? The answer you receive depends on who you talk with and the mood we're in. Honestly, it's either a rocky peak in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area outside Steamboat Springs, a laid back mountain town mama or dependable backcountry gear. We think it represents a little bit of each and everything in between.

Honey Stinger
An entrepreneur, a honey industry veteran, a food products developer and a beekeeper make up the team that created Honey Stinger energy gels and bars. A few years ago, these four, armed with research touting honey as an excellent source of carbohydrate for athletes, combined their skills and experience and developed a natural, honey-based energy gel. Today, that product is available in specialty outdoor retail, natural foods, running and bike shops across the country. Honey Stinger is popular with athletes from all manner of sports and the company sponsors events, athletes and teams across the US.

Mountain Khakis
If you've spent enough time in the mountains, you know why we've designed Mountain Khakisª. These all-purpose, outdoor pants are made to be durable, yet comfortable. Mountain Khakisª were designed by outdoor enthusiasts to handle the day-in-day-out needs of the rugged outdoor lifestyle. Life in the open air is different, and standard khakis just won't cut it. So, we designed Mountain Khakisª - a combination of lightweight comfort and heavy-duty construction.

TEKO
Striving to use materials and methods with the least environmental impact means we are always looking for better ways to do things. It is Teko's belief that by heading in this direction we set a positive example that our ecosystem doesn't have to be compromised for high performance apparel. In fact, nothing would thrill us more than if "the least environment impact" became an essential part of product competition. This would be the start of transforming the industry into a more sustainable trade.

Smith Optics
Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, Smith Optics, Inc. was founded in 1965 with the creation of the first-ever goggle featuring a sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam. In the early years, founder Dr. Bob Smith, an orthodontist by trade, made goggles by hand using dental tools, foam and glue. Before he struck a deal for manufacturing of Smith goggles in the late 60's, Smith would often trade his creations for lift tickets. These early prototypes were usually manufactured by Smith and friends around the kitchen table.

Flylow
The philosophy at Flylow has not changed since it's conception. Design clothing that is comfortable, durable, fashionable and budget friendly. They believe in these roots. When Flylow was established three years ago they saw a gap in the industry. As both telemark and alpine skiers they spent as much time in the backcountry as in the resort and all the people they rode with, including themselves, were wearing mountaineering gear. These clothes were designed for light and fast travel in the mountains and did not stand up to the rigors of riding in demanding terrain.

Smartwool
Smartwool was born with comfortable performance in mind. The founders were New England ski instructors struggling to keep their feet warm. After trying a variety of materials, they rediscovered an age old classic:wool. But while these socks may have been warm, they were itchy and shrank in the wash. So they worked on a process to make them soft and easy to care for. Smartwool was born on a simple tenet: keeping feet comfortable in all conditions. Try a pair and see why "Wearing is Believing".

Mammut
In 1862 Kaspar Tanner lay the first building blocks of our enterprise with the foundation of the craftmans ropery in Dintikon, near Lenzburg. 16 years later Kaspar Tanner moved his business to larger premises in the little city of Lenzburg. During his residency in Lenzburg the company was known as Seilerwarenfabrik AG Lenzburg. In 1968 the name changed to Arova Lenzburg AG and finally in 1984 to Arova-Mammut AG.
